You Put On Sunglasses Because You Want Something to Hide Behind
Not because the sun is particularly bright.
Because they make you feel less exposed.
After a bad night, you catch yourself looking in the mirror and thinking your exhaustion is obvious. Your eyes look tired. Your expression feels flat.
And somehow sunglasses make going outside feel easier.
People can’t quite see your eyes. You don’t have to think as much about eye contact. You feel slightly less… perceived.
It’s a tiny thing. But it can say a lot about how differently you feel after a bad night.
